It doesn’t necessarily mean you would want to hear me sing, just as “Yes, I golf,” doesn’t necessarily mean you would want to take in 9 holes with me. Frankly, I think it’s one of those sports that require a mental skill I have yet to master - the art of clearing ones head of the multitude of other things on their plate long enough to focus on stance, and grip, and swing. That’s not to say I don’t enjoy golf, because I do. I just lack the ability to forget for a few hours (again, I never said I was good), the kids work schedules for the day, when they’ll be popping in for a meal, writing deadlines, plans for the weekend, and if I remembered to unplug the curling iron before I left. And trust me when I tell you that when you add stance, grip and swing to all of that, you don’t exactly get Tiger Woods. That being said, if I can take this voice and sound downright amazing belting out a tune in my car, maybe to that foursome behind me, my skills resemble those of a blonder, fairer, more mature Michelle Wie. I said maybe. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | in: News, Blogs & Events Web Blog Photos![]() |
